VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Red Cross needs hospital volunteers at the clinics, the pharmacy, and the hospital library.  In addition, they need volunteers to help with their Christmas gift wrapping program, to work in the Red Cross office, in leadership positions, for volunteer recognition, and, if experienced, as caseworkers.

The Armed Services YMCA needs volunteers for several different positions.  One need is for part-time on-call staff to substitute for ill or vacationing regular staffers.  Pay is around $8.00 per hour and there is no obligation if you are unable to work when called.  This is a great way to make some extra money and to meet new people and expand your resume.  Those interested should apply at the YMCA in Denali Hall.  Volunteers are also needed for the Child Watch program at the base hospital.  For more information, please call 552-9622.
